They consist of a series of distinctive mountains of outstanding natural beauty. Their spectacularly vertical and "pale" peaks are unique in the world.

What makes the Dolomites around Val Gardena so extraordinary isn’t only their impressive rock formations, but also its inhabitants. The local Ladin population is one of Europe’s smallest linguistic minorities.
